For large hoisting operations, ensuring zero accidents is crucial, as any unexpected incident can lead to significant property losses and affect the project's construction schedule. To ensure the smooth and safe execution of hoisting operations, it is extremely important to develop a scientific and reasonable construction organization plan, and the preparatory work in advance is also very important.
Weather conditions for hoisting operations
1) Hoisting operations cannot be conducted in severe weather conditions, such as heavy fog, sandstorms, thunderstorms, or temperatures below -20°C.
2) Hoisting operations cannot be conducted when wind speeds exceed level 5.
3) Hoisting must be carried out during the day.
Safety of hoisting personnel
1) Personnel involved in hoisting must wear protective gear properly, and construction personnel working at heights above 2 meters must fasten their seat belts.
2) All personnel engaged in construction operations must have the appropriate qualifications, such as special engineering operation certificates for lifting personnel and operation certificates for operators.
3) The hoisting work area should have clear signs, and a designated person should be on guard, prohibiting entry to unrelated personnel. When the crane is in operation, it is strictly forbidden to stand or pass within the radius of the lifting arm's rotation.
4) When transporting or hoisting equipment, it is strictly forbidden to stand on the equipment being transported or hoisted to direct or place materials and tools.
5) Personnel working at heights should stand on an operating platform or a lightweight ladder. Temporary safety guardrails should be set up on the hoisting layer or other safety measures should be taken.
6) Ladders and temporary work platforms should be securely tied; the angle between the ladder and the ground should be between 60° and 70°, and the platform boards should be laid flat and tied down, with no gaps allowed.
